Have you ever Googled “Cup of Tea Meme”? There are so many. Tea is amazing. Not just as a drink, but also as a pun or meme. The best memes are when you change any word that ends in “ity” into to “tea”. My favourite Cup of Tea Meme is Nudi-tea. It cracks me up. A pun always makes a great Cup of Tea Meme.
My teenagers frequently bring me memes that they think are hilarious, and I counter with tea puns. It usually gets me an eye roll, but that’s motherhood.
I love me some tea. Any time, any place; and really, any kind. I also really like tea related stuff, so one night when my friends and I were having our weekly pandemic online games night, of course I managed to find a way to work “tea” into the answers. Clearly, tea is always on my mind! This eventually led to the pun-tastically named “Another Cup of Tea Shirt Company”. Tea-shirts, tank tops, mugs… most bearing hysterical puns on the word “tea”. Just you wait.
I have very funny friends.
And now, a blog about, you guessed it, tea! My favourite subject, right up there with Doctor Who and maybe cakes (the best thing to eat with tea)!
I’m definitely a woman who kind of uses the word as her call to justice. I can frequently be seen waggling my just emp-tea-d mug to any poor soul who happens to pass my vision on their way to the kitchen. “But Mom,” they ask, “Didn’t you just finish a cup?”
Yeah - like 2 minutes ago. I’m ready for the next one. Bring it on!
